Impromptu Workshop on the Ferry

During my vacation to the West Coast last month, I met a violin student while traveling aboard the ferry to Victoria, Canada. We started talking, and he played for me a little. His playing was rather advanced, and I ended up giving him an improptu workshop. A passenger who observed our lesson asked to take our photo afterwards. Today, there was a suprise in my mail -- a letter from her, with the photo. She wrote: "Enjoyed meeting you and was so happy that you were able to give the young student some pointers." Unfortunately, I do not recall the students' name. Wherever he is now -- best of luck to him in his violin journey!
